What is Coated paper?
Coated paper is also called printing coated paper. A layer of white paint is coated on the surface of the base paper, which is processed by super calendering. It is divided into two types: single-sided and double-sided, and the paper surface is divided into two types: split surface and cloth pattern. The paper has smooth surface, high whiteness and good ink absorption and inking performance. Mainly used for offset printing, gravure printing fine screen printing, such as high-grade picture albums, calendars, books and periodicals, etc. The disadvantage is that the powder is easy to stick and fall off after the tide, and can not be preserved for a long time.
Characteristics
The paper surface is very smooth, with high smoothness and good gloss. Because the whiteness of the coated paper is above 90% and the particles are very fine, and the coated paper is calendered by a super calender, the smoothness of the coated paper is generally 600~1000s. At the same time, the paint is evenly distributed on the paper, thus showing a pleasant white color. Coated paper requires high coating strength, thin and uniform coating, no bubbles, and proper adhesion of paint film, so as to prevent dusting and shedding during printing.
Uses of coated paper
